Union, NJ – Stockton University (2-3-2, 0-1 NJAC) took an early lead but fell to Kean University (7-1, 1-0) 4-1 in the conference opener for both teams. Freshman
Bobby Riordan (Tinton Falls/Monmouth) scored his first career goal for the Ospreys.
Riordan received a pass over the top of the defense from
Joseph Dikmak (Marlton/Cherokee) and scored from the left side just 4:49 into the game to give Stockton a quick 1-0 lead. The assist was the first career point for the sophomore Dikmak. The advantage was short-lived as Kean's Sev Kherlopian tied the match 1-1 only 3:25 later.
The Ospreys slid behind 2-1 on a tally by Michael Vargas for the Cougars with 5:18 remaining in the first half. Kean tacked on two more goals later in the second half, at 68:11 and 80:44, and Stockton suffered the 4-1 defeat.

Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) made a career-high nine saves as Kean outshot the Ospreys 23-12. Brad Watkins finished with two stops for the Cougars.
