Patchogue, NY – Stockton University (5-1) broke open a scoreless game by scoring three goals in the second half to pull away from St. Joseph's-Long Island (0-4) for a 3-0 win.
Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) scored twice to bring her team-leading total to seven goals on the season.
Boucher got the scoring started 4:15 into the second half and added her second of the game just under seven minutes later.
Lindsey Thomas (Swedesboro/Kingsway) capped the 3-0 win with her third goal of the season at the 70:58 mark.
Samantha Rodrigues (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) dished her third assist of the year on the scoring play.
Stockton outshot St. Joseph's-LI 23-1 and registered the only six corner kicks in the game. Boucher and Thomas led the attack with six and five shots respectively. Stockton goalkeeper
Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) earned her third shutout of the season without facing a shot on goal. Samantha Wedderburn finished with nine saves for the Golden Eagles.
Stockton will begin NJAC play with a home match against Kean University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
