Second Half Surge Propels Stockton to 4-1 Win

Boxscore

Galloway, NJ – Four different players scored goals as Stockton University (7-2, 2-0 NJAC) exploded for all of their tallies in the second half, to down Ramapo College (1-5-1, 0-2 NJAC) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Lindsey Thomas (Swedesboro/Kingsway) dished two assists on the afternoon for the Ospreys and gave Stockton its fourth win in their last five starts.

After a scoreless first half, the Roadrunners opened the scoring on a Kaelyn Angelucci marker in the 50th minute for a brief 1-0 Ramapo lead. Stockton knotted the contest at 1-1 in the 64th minute, when Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) potted her ninth goal of the season. Boucher took a feed from Thomas and potted the marker in the lower right corner.

Stockton then salted the game away scoring three times in just under five minutes. At 72:45, Jill DiBlasi (Atco/Hammonton) got past the backline, tapped the ball past the net minder to herself and nailed her third goal of the season for a 2-1 margin. 1:02 later, Abigayle Musto (Wall Twp. /Wall) scored off a Thomas cross for the 3-1 lead.

Freshman Abbey Yannacone (Manahawkin/Southern) set the final score, when she tallied her second goal of the year at 77:30, off a Ramapo giveaway, and broke free to give Stockton the final margin at 4-1.

Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) earned her seventh win of the season in net making four saves. Her counterpart Elizabeth Harvell suffered the loss, kicking out one Osprey attempt.

Stockton's next game will be a home match against Rowan University on Wednesday evening. Game time is set for 6 pm.
