Fredericksburg, VA – Stockton University (1-1) suffered its first defeat of the season as the Ospreys fell to Mary Washington (2-0) 4-1 at the UMW Soccer Classic.
Alex Kourahanis (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) scored the lone goal for Stockton.
Mary Washington struck quickly as Jacob Lovinger got the Eagles on the board just 3:17 into the game. Stockton answered right back with Kourahanis scoring for the second straight day. The tying goal came 5:40 after the Ospreys had fallen behind. Freshman

Mary Washington broke the game open with two goals 7:15 apart late in the first half and tacked on one more marker with 4:06 left in the game for the 4-1 final score. Stockton goalkeeper
Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) faced pressure throughout the match as the Eagles fired 22 shots, and he finished with seven saves.
Stockton will be on the road again on Wednesday for a game at Centenary at 4 p.m.
