Boxscore

Galloway, NJ - Stockton University (3-0) won their home opener and extended their scoreless streak to 270 minutes as the Ospreys overwhelmed Maritime College (1-2) by a 7-0 final on Tuesday night. Sara Beenders (Rahway/Allied Health Sciences) led the way with two markers and five additional Stockton players hit the net in the rout.

Lindsey Thomas (Swedesboro/Kingsway) opened the scoring with an assist from Mairead McKeary (Cranford/Cranford) for a 1-0 lead after 8:31 of the first half. Alexa Rubino (Voorhees/Eastern) floated a shot from near midfield that eluded Privateers' goalie Cammie Havens at the 33:21 mark to give Stockton a 2-0 lead at the break.

Stockton exploded for five goals in the second half including two tallies 28 seconds apart early in the stanza. Adrianna Boucher (Hamilton/Steinert) tapped in a cross from Jill DiBlasi (Atco/Hammonton) at 49:29 for her fourth goal in three games. Freshman Emily Frazee (Port Republic/Cedar Creek) scored her first career goal by banging in a rebound off a DiBlasi shot 28 seconds later for a 4-0 advantage.

Beenders' two markers sandwiched DiBlasi's first goal at Stockton to set the final score at 7-0. Dana Scillieri (Pequannock/Pequannock Twp.) and Christina Denney (Millstone/Allentown) each assisted on one tally. Scillieri's helper came on DiBlasi's goal and was her first career point.

Stockton goalkeeper Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) did not face a shot in the first half, picking her third win of the season. Dionia Henderson (Burlington Twp./Burlington Twp.) played the second half, also without facing a shot to complete the combined shutout. Stockton fired off 40 shots, with 23 going on net. Havens finished with 15 saves for the Privateers.

Stockton will be back in action at the Drew Fall Festival in Madison NJ this weekend, starting with a game against Moravian College at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
