Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-6, 1-3 NJAC) hosted a ranked opponent for the second straight game and third time this season as the Ospreys faced #4 The College of New Jersey (11-2, 5-0 NJAC) and fell 6-0. The Lions are the highest-ranked team that Stockton has faced this year.

Emily Gilligan (West Deptford/West Deptford) played the first 7:26 and made two saves.
Emily Sorochynskyj (Boonton/Boonton) went the rest of the way and made six saves for the Ospreys, who were outshot 20-9.
Although Stockton attempted twice as many penalty corners, 12-6, the Ospreys were unable to break the shutout.
Sarah Gawrysiak (Haddon Twp./Haddon Twp.) topped the squad with four shots.
TCNJ jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first eight minutes on goals by Kayla Peterson and Tori Tiefenthaler 1:14 apart. Stockton generated some pressure over the next nine minutes with five shots and four corners, but the Ospreys came up empty.
Tiefenthaler netted two goals in a span of 3:06 to complete her natural hat trick and make it 4-0 Lions. A tally by Elizabeth Morrison with 1:24 left in the half extended Stockton's deficit to 5-0 at the break.
The second half was somewhat uneventful as the teams went back and forth with few quality scoring chances. Stockton produced eight corners but was outshot 8-4 and yielded the only goal of the period when Cayla Andrews scored with 8:02 remaining to set the final count of 6-0.
