Glassboro, NJ – Stockton University (19-8) made the short trip to Rowan University for a pair of neutral site matches. The Ospreys started with a sweep of NYU (7-20) by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 and then took a set from #25 Stevenson (26-1) before falling in four frames 25-27, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.
Against NYU,
Kara Glynn (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) led the attack with nine kills followed by
Stephanie Kovacs (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) with eight. Setters
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) and
Alice Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) dished 16 and 13 assists respectively.
Defensively,
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) scooped a match-high 12 digs followed by
Sarah Walsh (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) with nine.
Charlotte Leon (Northport, NY/Northport) tied for match-high honors with four blocks.
Kovacs topped the Ospreys with 14 kills against Stevenson, followed by Glynn with 12. Sullivan dealt a match-high 24 digs and added 11 digs for a double-double. Miller and Brandt finished with 15 and 12 digs respectively. Stockton was hampered by 28 hitting errors and a .098 hitting percentage in the match.
Stockton will play its final regular season home match on Tuesday when the Ospreys host Rutgers-Newark at 7 pm.
