Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-4, 0-3 NJAC) rallied late in the contest but fell by a score of 81-67 to Ramapo College (5-1, 3-0 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon. Kashaun Barnes (Toms River/Manchester twp.) topped all scorers with 23 points.

Stockton started out on fire, scoring the first 11 points of the game, with eight coming from Barnes. The Osprey defense held the Roadrunners, ranked #8 in NCAA DIII by D3hoops.com, scoreless for over six minutes before they posted a point.

That changed quickly as the visitors righted themselves and rattled off 40 points to 19 for Stockton in the last 13:52, to take a 40-30 lead into the locker room. Barnes and Steve Ferebee (Galloway/Absegami) led the Ospreys with 13 and 11 points respectively, combining for 24 of the team's 30 markers. Stockton shot just 35.5% (11-31) for the first half as a team while Ramapo was a torrid 5-9 (55.6%) from three-point range.

Ramapo continued their full court pressure, running the margin up to as many as 21 points at 67-46 with 8:23 remaining before Stockton tried one last surge. The Ospreys put on a 18-5 run to cut the lead to 72-64 at the 2:26 mark.

Barnes led the charge with seven points, but the eight-point margin was as close as Stockton would get. The Roadrunners closed out the win with seven of the final nine points for the 81-67 victory.

Barnes tallied seven rebounds and four assists to go with his 23 points, Ferebee scored a career-high 19 points on 7-10 shooting, including 3-4 from three-point range. The sophomore did not miss a shot until 8:30 remained in the contest. Zavon Johnson (Trenton/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) hit three shot from beyond the arc for nine points.

Christopher Moseley led Ramapo with 18 points while teammates Thomas Bonacum and Josh Ford added 13 points apiece. Bonacum also snatched a game-high nine rebounds. Patrick Peterson rounded out the Roadrunner double-digit scorers with 10 markers.
