Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-1) scored the first four goals of the game and rolled to its third straight victory, 16-5 over Wesley (4-3). Freshman
Joey Tiernan (Voorhees/Eastern) led the Ospreys with five goals and an assist followed by
Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) with three goals and two assists.
Stockton outshot Wesley 16-0 in the first quarter and built a 3-0 lead on goals by Caposella, Tiernan and
Colin Shea (Rumson/Rumson-Fair Haven). The second and third tallies came 41 seconds apart in the final minute of the period.
Tiernan made it 4-0 just 38 seconds into the second quarter before Leo Kelly scored on Wesley's first shot of the game 40 seconds later.
Brandon Nunez (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) sandwiched a pair of goals around one by Tiernan, with all three coming in a span of 3:27. The counters gave the Ospreys a 7-1 lead that lasted through halftime.
Stockton put the game away with six goals in the third quarter. Caposella got scoring started just 45 seconds into the stanza followed by
Chris Kaczmarski (Somers Point/Mainland) 1:03 later to make it 9-1.
Jamar Hall (Logan Twp./Kingsway) scored in between two Wesley tallies for a 10-3 count.
The Ospreys then exploded for three goals in 1:52 to increase the margin to 10. Zack Aho (Shamong/Seneca), Caposella and
Jon Liguori (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) found the net during the outburst.
Stockton led 13-3 after three periods and outscored the Wolverines 3-2 in the fourth quarter on two goals by Tiernan and one by
Erik Anderson (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) to close out the 16-5 rout.

Justin Ruiz (Holmdel/Holmdel) played the first three quarters and made five saves to earn the win.
Tyler Bollard (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) dominated the faceoff dot, winning 20 of 23 and scooping 17 ground balls.
Five Wesley players scored one goal each, paced by Josh Wassum with a goal and an assist. Wolverines' goalie James Cella finished with 20 saves as the Ospreys outshot Wesley 65-23.
Stockton will be home again on Wednesday for a night game against Immaculata at 7 p.m.
