Elizabethtown, PA – Stockton University (6-1) played its first game in 10 days and the Ospreys picked up right where they left off, defeating Elizabethtown (8-2) 14-10 for their sixth straight win.
Abbey Yannacone (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) led a balanced attack with three goals and an assist.
Alexa Rubino (Voorhees/Eastern) tallied a team-high five points on two goals and three assists. The senior also snagged a game-high five draw controls. Four additional Ospreys scored two goals apiece including
Gaby Ojeda (Galloway/Absegami) who also registered four draw controls.
Stockton fell behind 4-1 in the first 15 minutes, with
Kristen Russo (Wayne/Wayne Hills) scoring the first of her two goals for the Ospreys. Russo and
Kim Raichelson (Brick/Brick Memorial) scored for Stockton as the teams alternated markers over the next five minutes, resulting in a 6-3 deficit.
Raichelson scored again with 7:33 left in the first half to make it 6-4, igniting a barrage of nine straight goals by the Ospreys. Ojeda,
Mary Schmid (Lumberton/Holy Cross) and Yannacone potted counters in the last five minutes of the half to lift Stockton to a 7-6 edge at the break.
Ojeda opened the second-half scoring with her second of the game with 1:57 gone and
Melanie Patterson (Jackson/Jackson Liberty) followed with two goals 44 seconds apart to increase the lead to 10-6. Yannacone and Rubino capped the run of nine straight as the advantage bulged to 12-6 with 16:11 remaining.
The Blue Jays regrouped and netted four goals in 10 minutes to close the gap to 12-10 at the 5:11 mark. Stockton buckled down from there and did not allow another score. Yannacone and Rubino sealed the victory with tallies in the last 1:34 to close out Stockton's sixth consecutive win, 14-10.

Maura Twiggs (Ocean City/Ocean City) earned the win with seven saves, five of which came in the second half.
Stockton will play its NJAC opener on Saturday when the Ospreys host Ramapo at 1 p.m.
