Mahwah, NJ – Stockton University (3-5-1, 0-2 NJAC) headed to the northern end of the state for an NJAC game and fell to Ramapo (3-4, 1-1) 1-0 on a late goal by the Roadrunners. Four of Stockton's five defeats this season have come by slim 1-0 margins.
Neither team mounted much of an attack in the match. The Ospreys limited Ramapo to seven shots but were not credited with a shot attempt themselves at the offensive end. Stockton goalkeeper
Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) registered two saves.
The teams combined for three corner kicks and zero shots on goal in the first half. A red card in the second half left Stockton shorthanded for the last 31:59. Still, the Ospreys kept the game scoreless until the 78:04 mark when Amber Hermanns broke through for the only goal. The tally proved to be the difference as Stockton suffered the 1-0 setback.
Stockton will play its next three games at home, starting with an NJAC contest against Rowan on Wednesday at 7 pm.
