Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-6, 2-2 NJAC) snapped a five-match slide with a 3-0 sweep of Rowan University (8-8, 2-2) at The Sports Center. The scores were 25-15, 25-20, 25-22.
Stephanie Kovacs (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) led the Ospreys with a match-high 16 kills to bring her career total to 999 kills.

Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) topped all players with 21 assists and four aces while fellow rookie
Alice Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) dished 11 assists.
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) scooped a match-high eight digs.
The first set was close early, until Stockton pulled away with an 11-2 run that resulted in a 22-12 lead. Kovacs led the charge with four kills during the spurt and finished with six in the set as the Ospreys cruised to the 25-14 triumph.
Rowan opened up a 13-8 lead in the second set before Stockton got going. Two kills by Kovacs highlighted a 9-2 outburst that put the Ospreys on top 17-15. The Profs battled back to tie at 19-19 but Stockton scored six of the next seven points to take command of the match with a 25-20 victory.
Rowan came out strong in the third set and appeared ready to extend the match, leading 18-13. Later trailing 19-15, Stockton reeled off eight unanswered points to vault into a 23-19 advantage. Kovacs pounded two more kills during the onslaught. Rowan fought off two match points before Kovacs clinched the win with her 999th career kill to end the contest at 25-22.
Kailey Gallagher paced Rowan with 11 kills and Megan Jacobi also hit double digits with 10 kills. Katelyn Paxson posted team highs of 20 assists and six digs for the Profs.
Stockton will host a tri-match on Saturday. The Ospreys will play Farmingdale State at 9 am and Franklin & Marshall at 11 am. The two visiting teams then will play each other at 1 pm.
