Montclair, NJ –Stockton University (8-2-1, 2-2 NJAC) played defending conference champ Montclair State (7-3-1, 3-1) scoreless for over 57 minutes, but surrendered three late goals and suffered a 3-0 setback on Saturday night.

The teams combined for five shots in the first half, with Stockton's best chance coming on a try by freshman
Max Bond (Cherry Hill/CH West) that hit the post just 13:52 into the game. Groover faced one shot on goal in the period and made the save.
The Ospreys registered four shots on goal in the first 11 minutes of the second half but could not get one past Red Hawks' goalie Mike Saalfrank. Montclair State's Rafael Terci broke the scoreless tie with 12:35 gone in the stanza. Stockton managed just two shots the rest of the way. The Red Hawks broke the game open with tallies at 74:09 and 87:02 to deal Stockton the 3-0 defeat.
Justin Ruiz (Wayne/Wayne Hills) registered a game-high three shots, including two on goal.
Larry Abanilla (Union/Union Catholic) also recorded two shots on goal for the Ospreys, who once again played without a handful of regulars.
Stockton will begin a four-game homestand on Tuesday when the Ospreys host Ursinus at 7:30 pm.
