The only goal of the rainy night came with just 27 seconds left in the first half as Moravian's Juliana Caranci punched the ball home following a corner kick. Stockton trailed 1-0 at the break and could not mount a threat in the second half. The Ospreys were not credited with a shot attempt in the second stanza and suffered the one-goal defeat.
Four Stockton players registered one shot each, with an attempt by
Taylor Brady (Galloway/Absegami) early in the game the only one on goal. Greyhounds' goalies Jamie Daly and Jessica Lawton each played a half in the combined shutout.
Stockton will play its home opener on Saturday morning when the Ospreys host North Carolina Wesleyan at 11 am.
