Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (13-8, 9-5 NJAC) saw their six-game winning streak come to a halt with a 61-53 defeat to Rutgers-Camden (12-8, 9-5 NJAC) on Wednesday night.
Najha Treadwell (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) posted her fifth double-double in the last six games with a 20-point, 10-rebound effort to lead the Ospreys.

Stockton started slowly, falling behind 20-13 after one quarter of play. With the score knotted at 6-6 with 6:28 to play in the opening frame, the Scarlet Raptors finished the period on a 13-7 spurt to take the early lead.

Stockton rebounded in period two on the strength of eight markers by Treadwell. A 12-4 run capped by a
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/CH West) jumper gave the Ospreys a brief 25-24 advantage with 3:28 left in the half. The squads battled to the end of the half tied at 32 points each heading to the locker room.

The teams again squared off exchanging baskets and ended the third period knotted at 43-43 with one quarter to play. The Ospreys could not match the Scarlet Raptors in the final 10 minutes of play, scoring just 10 points to the visitors 18 markers in dropping the 61-53 decision that ended the winning streak at six.

Treadwell shot 9-11 from the field on the evening in her 20-point game. Williams was the only other Osprey in double figures, posting 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks on the night.
Lea Mendolla (Nutley/Mount St. Dominic) tied for game-high honors with three steals.

Cara Racobaldo who had game-highs of 20 points and seven assists, to go with 10 boards on the night topping Rutgers Camden. Gabby Greene scored 16 points, including 4-7 from behind the arc. The Raptors shot 8-16 (50.0%) from the three-point line on the night, while holding the Ospreys to just 3-15 (20.0%) from distance.

Stockton will play their second straight home game on Saturday when they will face #15 Montclair State at the Athletic Center. Game time is scheduled for 12 noon.
