Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (7-3, 4-2 NJAC) finished its fall season with a 5-3 victory over Ramapo (4-4, 2-3) that was the fourth straight win for the Ospreys. The teams split the six matches that were contested, however Stockton earned one point with a win on an injury default and another on a forfeit. Those two points were the decisive margin.
Kristen McCormick (Galloway/Absegami) and
Renee Wornowicz (Old Bridge/Old Bridge) rolled to an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles.
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles for her team-leading 12th win of the season and 11th in a row.
Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 5 singles to improve to 11-2 on the season. Stockton collected team points on a win by default at No. 2 singles and a win by forfeit at No. 6 singles. The No. 3 doubles match was not played, resulting in a 5-3 triumph for the Ospreys.
Stockton will resume its 2018-19 season during the spring semester.
