Hilton Head, SC – Stockton University (7-4) fell to Lawrence Tech (6-5), an NAIA school located in Michigan, 6-3 in the first of five spring break matches for the Ospreys. The defeat snapped a four-match winning streak for Stockton dating back to the fall season.
Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem) was the lone victor for the Ospreys in a contested match. Samuels cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 5 singles. Stockton's other two team points came in forfeits by the shorthanded Lawrence Tech squad at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Stockton will be back in action tomorrow morning at 8:30 am for a match against East Stroudsburg University, an NCAA Division II opponent.
