Union, NJ – Stockton University (4-3, 2-2 NJAC) evened its conference record by sweeping all nine matches for a 9-0 road victory at Kean University (1-7, 0-3).
Maria Ibarra (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT),
Emily Steinberg (Toms River/TR North) and
Kristen McCormick (Galloway/Absegami) led the Ospreys with victories in singles and doubles.
Ibarra and Steinberg each won by 6-0, 6-1 scores in singles while McCormick and
Katelyn Emick (West Deptford/West Deptford) each posted 6-1, 6-0 wins.
Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem) contributed a 6-2, 6-0 triumph and
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) notched a 6-2, 6-2 victory for her eighth straight win. McCormick has won five in a row for the Ospreys.
Ibarra and Steinberg paired for an 8-1 rout at No. 1 doubles.
Taylor Searles (Turnersville/Washington Twp.) and
Theresa Fernbacher (West Milford/West Milford) rolled to an 8-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles. McCormick and
Renee Wornowicz (Old Bridge/Old Bridge) doubled their opponents 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
Stockton will be on the road again on Wednesday for a non-conference match at Immaculata at 3:30 pm.
