Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (13-6) downed Marywood University (12-8) for the second time this season by a 1-0 score on Wednesday night.
Victoria Caiazzo (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) scored her eighth goal of the season in the first half, to send the Ospreys to the semi-finals of the ECAC Tournament on Saturday.

The Ospreys downed the Pacers on September 22nd by the same one-goal margin. With the victory, the Ospreys set a single-season mark for wins with 13, breaking the old mark of 12 victories in 2013.

The Ospreys dominated the match from the beginning. Caiazzo turned that momentum into the only score of the night just 3:47 into the contest.
Jennelle Long (Matawan/Matawan) blasted a shot that was blocked, but Caiazzo pounced on the loose ball and hit the back of the cage for the 1-0 lead.

Stockton controlled the first 35 minutes, blanking the Pacers throughout the period. They outshot the visitors 10-0 and held a 7-0 margin in penalty corners, but could come away with just the one tally.

The Pacers gained some control during the second half, but the Ospreys defense, led by
Lauryn Flynn (Warren Grove/Southern Regional),
Casey Cordonna (Barrington/Haddon Heights),
Hannah Wescoat (Upper Deerfield/Cumberland Regional) and Caiazzo, held fast and preserved the 1-0 victory.

Stockton finished with a 16-5 advantage in shots with Caiazzo,
Isabelle Marsh (Franklinville/Delsea),
Britney Stein (Ocean City/Ocean City) and
Issy Gilhooley (Ocean City/Ocean City) all firing three attempts each.

Emily Gilligan (West Deptford/West Deptford) made three saves in net for the Ospreys, in posting her fifth shutout of the season.

Kenzie Drew led all players with four shots for Marywood. Net minder Kerri Mountz kicked out six shots in the loss.

Stockton will take on Juniata on Saturday morning at 11 am in the first semi-final of the ECAC Tournament. Arcadia and Ithaca will battle at 2pm for the right to go to the final on Sunday.
