Stockton Routs York 95-60

Jamaica, NY – Stockton University (3-8) played its first game in 18 days and routed York (NY) (2-9) 95-60 for its second straight win. All 11 Ospreys who saw action in the game played at least 10 minutes and scored points, with four reaching double figures.
 
April Peterson (Lafayette/High Point) led Stockton with team highs of 17 points and nine rebounds. Peterson was a perfect 6-6 from the field. Lajerah Wright (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) scored a career-high 15 points and pilfered six steals.
 
Mckenna Forry (Waterford/Hammonton) contributed 15 points and six rebounds, each one off her career high. Forry went 6-9 from the floor. Madison Noordeloos (Hawthorne/Hawthorne) shot 5-7 and finished with a career-high 14 points. Stockton shot 51.4% from the floor and forced 36 turnovers.
 
The Ospreys scored the first 10 points of the game, four by Peterson, and never looked back. Peterson finished the quarter with seven points, five rebounds and two assists to spark Stockton to a 24-11 lead. The Ospreys then scored the first 15 markers of the second period for a commanding 39-11 advantage. Noordeloos tallied eight of the 15 points.
 
Overall, Stockton outscored York 27-11 in the quarter for a 51-23 lead at the break. Wright led the way with 13 points followed by Peterson with nine and Noordeloos with eight. The Ospreys were 20-35 (57.1%) from the floor in the half.
 
The second half was academic, with Stockton outscoring York 44-37. The Ospreys led by at least 26 points the entire time as the bench got into the act. Ten players put points on the board led by Peterson and Forry with eight counters apiece as Stockton rolled its second straight win, 95-60.
 
Fatomata Trawalleh paced York with 14 points while Mac-Dege Dessources tallied 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for the home team.
 
Stockton will be back in action on Wednesday with a home game against Marywood at 5 pm.
