Holland, MI – Stockton University (0-2) completed its season-opening two-game trip to Michigan with a 2-1 setback to Hope College (2-0) in overtime.
Justin Ruiz (Wayne/Wayne Hills) scored the tying goal late in regulation but the Ospreys were foiled in OT.
James Reymann put Stockton down 1-0 with 15:05 gone in the game. The Ospreys trailed by one for over 67 minutes before Ruiz pulled them into a 1-1 tie with just 7:25 remaining in regulation. Hope, which outshot Stockton 24-6 in the match, applied pressure with six shots in overtime.

Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) made three saves in OT to keep the game knotted 1-1 but Logan Bylsma broke through with the game-winner for the Flying Dutch at 98:01 to deal Stockton the 2-1 defeat.
Gromitsaris finished with eight saves and Ruiz registered two of Stockton's six shots in the contest. Hope goalie Blair McCormick collected the win with two saves on the night.
Stockton will play its third straight road game on Wednesday when the Ospreys visit Rosemont for a 7 pm tilt.
