Rosemont, PA – Stockton University (1-2) played its third straight road game to open the season and topped Rosemont (0-3) 2-1 for its first win. The Ospreys received goals from a pair of newcomers in freshman
Villy Fortulus (Winslow Twp./Winslow Twp.) and transfer
Jake Treiber (Marlton/Cherokee).
Stockton outshot Rosemont 18-3 on the night including 6-0 in a scoreless first half. The Ospreys finally broke through 10:27 into the second half as Fortulus netted his second goal in three college games thus far.
John Maxted (Middletown/Middletown North) assisted on the tally.
Treiber made it 2-0 in favor of the Ospreys with 11:04 remaining in regulation but the Ravens drew a penalty kick less than a minute later and Christian Rafter converted to trim the Stockton lead to 2-1. The Ospreys did not allow a shot the rest of the way in protecting the one-goal advantage for the 2-1 triumph.

Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) made one save to earn his first victory in an Osprey uniform. Fortulus led the team with four shots and Rosemont goalie Taylor Wannamaker totaled seven saves on the night.
After starting with three straight games on the road, Stockton will play its first home match at G. Larry James Stadium on Saturday when the Ospreys host Marywood at 2 pm.
