New York, NY – Stockton University (7-4) split its two contests in a tri-match at Hunter College. After dropping the first set, the Ospreys roared back to win three straight for a 3-1 win over previously-unbeaten Hunter (7-1). Stockton then was swept 3-0 by Vassar (6-4).
 
In the victory over Hunter, 
Allie Desmond (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) led Stockton with 14 kills followed by 
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) with nine kills and a team-high 18 digs. 
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) registered 25 assists and 10 digs.
 
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, AP/Thomas Jefferson) and 
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) contributed 17 and 13 digs respectively. 
Fiona Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) dished 13 assists. After dropping the first set 25-21, Stockton reeled off three straight, 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.
 
Desmond spiked a career-high 21 kills against Vassar. Sullivan again dished 25 assists while 
Fiona Marziello registered a double-double with 13 digs and 12 assists. Miller topped the Ospreys with 16 digs and 
Sophia Marziello added 11 digs. All three sets were close (26-24, 25-21, 27-25), with Stockton coming up just short in each.
 
Stockton will begin NJAC play with a home match against Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday at 7 pm.
