Lancaster, PA – Stockton University (16-4) extended its winning streak to nine matches with a pair of sweeps at the Franklin & Marshall Scramble. The Ospreys posted 3-0 victories over Bethany (11-7) by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-22 and Farmingdale State (5-14) 25-17, 25-13, 25-12.
Allie Desmond (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) led Stockton over Bethany with a match-high 13 kills followed by
Jocelyn Holobetz (Pottsville, PA/Nativity BVM) with six kills and 13 digs.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) and
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) led all players with 23 assists for Sullivan and 14 digs for Miller.
All 17 Ospreys saw action in the win over Farmingdale State, with Holobetz leading the way with nine kills plus seven digs. Desmond and
Franceska Gustave (Edgewater/Leonia) added six kills apiece while Sullivan and
Alice Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) dished 13 and nine assists respectively.
Sullivan and Desmond were named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the F&M Scramble after leading Stockton to three straight wins at the tourney.
Stockton returns to NJAC play with a road match at Rutgers-Newark on Tuesday at 7 pm.
