Stockton Rolls Past Ramapo 6-0

Galloway, NJ –Stockton University (7-2-3, 2-1-1 NJAC) scored three goals in each half, en route to a dominant 6-0 victory over Ramapo (2-8, 1-3 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.  Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) had two goals, with Susan Porambo (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) garnering a goal and assist.

Stockton struck early as LeDonne got loose and beat Ramapo netminder Elizbeth Harvell for the first goal at 1:11 of the contest. LeDonne then scored her fifth goal of the season at 5:23. Her header, off a cross by Michelle Sander (Ewing, Notre Dame), made it 2-0 and the Ospreys were off and running.

Porambo nailed her third goal of the season in the 33rd minute when her blast hit the back of the net for a 3-0 lead. That would be all the scoring up to the halftime break.

Starting the second period, the Ospreys made it a four-goal advantage. At 53:30, Dasey DiElmo (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) gained the end line. Her pass found Bri Pagnani (Bordentown/Bordentown) who guided the ball to Alexa Simonetti (Wayne/Wayne Valley) for her third tally of the season.

Freshman Amber Loomis (Jefferson/Jefferson Twp.) scored her first career goal off a turnover to put Stockton up 5-0 before Katie Reed (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) closed out the scoring in the 79th minute. Porambo centered a pass to Reed who's tap-in set the final score at 6-0.

Goalkeeper Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) made five saves in the match and posted her NJAC-leading seventh shutout of the season. Harvell made 10 saves for the Roadrunners in the loss. Erika Signorile posted two of the five shots on net for Ramapo.

Stockton will travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA for their next match against King's College. The non-conference tilt is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 5 pm.
