Allentown, PA – Stockton University (5-3) finished up its four matches at the Muhlenberg Buttermaker Tournament with a split to go 3-1 for the weekend. The Ospreys swept FDU-Florham 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-21) but then fell to host Muhlenberg 3-2 (25-11, 19-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-8) in a five-setter.
Allie Desmond (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) registered a match-high 13 kills and
Haley Green (Springville, UT/Maple Mountain) added eight in the sweep of FDU-Florham.
Fiona Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) dished 16 assists followed by
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) with 14 helpers and nine digs.
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) tallied 12 digs.
Desmond tied her career high with 20 kills against the Mules. Sullivan dished 36 assists and Miller scooped 14 digs.
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) played a strong match, finishing with 10 digs, eight kills and a team-high five aces.
Desmond and Miller were selection to the All-Tournament Team for the Ospreys.
Stockton will open NJAC play with a match on the road at Rowan University on Tuesday at 7 pm.
