Haverford, PA – Stockton University (24-2, 6-0 NJAC) extended their winning streak to 17 straight matches, when the Ospreys played a tri-match at Haverford College this afternoon. Stockton downed McDaniel College (11-10) 3-1 with scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-10 and 25-21 in the opener.

The Ospreys then took on host Haverford College (18-8) and avenged an early season loss to the Fords, winning 3-1, by scores of 26-28, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-17. Haverford had beaten Stockton on September 14, handing Stockton one of their two losses on the season.

Stockton used a balanced attack again with
Franceska Gustave (Edgewater/Leonia) leading the way with 14 kills and 12 blocks on the day. Gustave pounded nine kills and seven blocks in the opening match.

With the opening match tied at one set apiece, the Ospreys rolled to a third set 25-10 victory before winning the match in the fourth and final set. The Green Terror pulled to within two points at 20-18 but two kills by
Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, NY/West Islip) helped the Ospreys pull away for the win.

Kohlhoff and
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) each spiked eight kills with Kohlhoff blocking three attempts and Louer swatting a pair.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) filled the stat sheet again with seven kills, 31 assists 11 digs and four blocks.
Caity Ullmer (Midland Park/Midland Park) spiked seven kills as well.

Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) scooped 17 digs to lead the backline. Louer grabbed eight digs, with
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) and
Grace Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) scooping seven digs each.

In the nightcap against the Fords,
Haley Green (Springville, UT/Maple Mountain) topped the Ospreys with a team-high 12 kills. Stockton took an early lead in the first set but fell in the first set 28-26. From there it was all Stockton as they ran off with the second set 25-17, hitting at a .565 clip. Green and Kohlhoff spiked four kills during the frame with Gustave chipping in three kills.

The Ospreys never were threatened in set number three, racing out to a 9-1 lead and finished out at 25-19. The Fords never got closer than five points, as Green spiked six kills. The fourth set was closer, with the teams knotted at 10-10 at one point. Stockton then raced off to a 23-13 margin before finishing the match at 25-17 and extending the winning streak to 17 straight matches.

For the day, Kohlhoff added 18 kills and seven blocks, with Sullivan totaling 12 kills, 68 assists, 25 digs and six blocks. Miller and Louer scooped 32 and 25 digs respectively. Marziello had 12 digs in the second match and 19 scoops on the day, with Brandt getting 14 digs. Green totaled 14 kills and five blocks, with Ullmer spiking 13 kills.

The Ospreys will return to NJAC Play for their next match, when Stockton will face William Paterson on Tuesday. The home match starts at 7pm.
