Swarthmore, Pa. – Stockton University (2-2) faced a stiff early-season test as the Ospreys went on the road to play unbeaten Swarthmore (4-0), currently ranked #1 in NCAA Division III and last year's NCAA national runner-up. Stockton could not keep up as Swarthmore hit 15 three-pointers and topped the Ospreys 84-54.

Two Stockton players reached double figures,
Kyion Flanders (Wildwood/Wildwood) with a team-high 14 points and
Steve Ferebee (Galloway/Absegami) with 10 markers. Ferebee also topped the squad with eight rebounds.

Stockton fell victim to a three-point barrage in the first half as the Garnet shot 9-20 (45%) from beyond the arc. Flanders netted 10 first-half points for the Ospreys and
DJ Campbell (Vineland/Vineland) added six but Stockton's 36.7-percent shooting could not match a Swarthmore offense that put up 47 points for a 47-30 count.

Stockton made up a little ground early in the second half as two baskets by
Othniel Nyamekye (Irvington/Irvington) and a three-pointer by Ferebee helped slice the deficit to 11 at 52-41. The Ospreys were within 10 at 56-46 after two free throws by Ferebee with 11:43 on the clock but Swarthmore reeled off 14 straight points to put the game out of reach.

Both teams substituted liberally down the stretch. Stockton used 14 players in the game, 12 of whom scored, while 17 players saw action for the Garnet as they downed the Ospreys 84-54.

Stockton will begin NJAC play on Tuesday with a road game at The College of New Jersey that tips off at 8 p.m.
