Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-3, 1-2 NJAC) was outscored by 13 points in the second half as the Ospreys dropped a 60-53 decision to Ramapo College (8-1, 2-1 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Donzanti (Toms River/Toms River South) was the only Osprey in double figures with 13 points.

Stockton started strong with a 9-0 run to begin the contest. The lead grew to 17-8 after one period, with
Lajerah Wright (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) leading the way with five points. The Ospreys bumped the lead up to 11 at 23-12 with 5:02 left in the second quarter and finished the half leading 28-22.

Eight different Ospreys scored. led by
Hailee Porricelli (Howell/Freehold Twp.) with six markers on a pair of three-pointers.

The Ospreys looked to take command of the game through the third period, holding a 37-28 advantage with 4:43 remaining in the frame. But the Roadrunners turned up the pressure, outscoring the home team 13-2 the rest of the way to take over the lead at 41-39 after three quarters.

From there the visitors never let Stockton grab another lead. The Ospreys closed within one point on a pair of occasions but could not wrest the game back in their favor. A 19-11 final quarter gave Ramapo the 60-53 victory.

Porricelli and
Kiley Gelston (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.) added nine points each, with Gelston swiping four steals. Wright notched game highs of nine rebounds and five blocks while also dishing a team-high four assists.

Ramapo was led by Jenna Harsh with a game-high 18 points, with Alie Wickersheim adding 11 markers.

Stockton will travel to Glassboro to face Rowan University for their next contest. The game is set for Wednesday night at 6 pm.
