Galloway, NJ - The Stockton University men's and women's cross-country teams each qualified for All-Academic Team status from the
United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Senior
Regina Duncan (Frelinghuysen Twp./North Warren) earned USTFCCCA All-Academic status individually as well.

The Stockton women's squad amassed an outstanding 3.73 cumulative team grade point average that tied for 11th in the nation, up four spots from last year. The Osprey men's team earned distinction with an impressive 3.37 cumulative team GPA that tied for 76th nationally. The Stockton men's and women's teams are coached by
Jayson Resch and
Joe Dare respectively.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the squad must have recorded a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher and competed and compiled a team score at the NCAA Regionals. Overall, 215 women's teams and 178 men's teams from NCAA Division III met the requirements for All-Academic Team honors.

Duncan, an Exercise Science major at Stockton, earned her first USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country All-Academic nod. The senior qualified for the accolade by compiling a grade point average above 3.30 and finishing among the top 25 percent of runners at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals.

In the final race of her career, Duncan finished 67th out of 305 runners at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals with a time of 24:20.4 for six kilometers. She also earned an NJAC First Team spot in 2018 by placing fifth at the NJAC Championships, her best finish at the conference meet in her four seasons.

Overall, Duncan was a three-time NJAC all-conference performer in cross country (2016 First Team, 2017 Second Team, 2018 First Team). In 2016, she helped Stockton win its first NJAC cross country championship ever by finishing sixth at the conference meet. In addition to cross country, Duncan also is a member of the Stockton women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams. Â
