Hilton Head, SC – Stockton University (9-5) won all but two of the nine matches to post its second straight win, 7-2 over St. Mary's (MD) (0-8).
Renee Wornowicz (Old Bridge/Old Bridge) and
Sarah Richardson (Atco/Hammonton) won matches in both singles and doubles.
Wornowicz and Richardson each rolled to 6-0, 6-0 shutouts in singles. Wornowicz teamed with
Taylor Searles (Turnersville/Washington Twp.) for an 8-1 doubles victory while Richardson and
Hailey Johnson (Middletown/Academy of Law & Public Safety) blanked their opponents 8-0 in doubles.
Emily Steinberg (Toms River/TR North) won the closest match of the day 6-1, 4-6, 10-5.
Maria Ibarra (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) cruised 6-0, 6-2 and
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) contributed a 6-1, 6-1 triumph for the Ospreys.
Stockton will play its final match in Hilton Head tomorrow when the Ospreys face Marietta College (OH) at 5 pm.
