Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-4, 1-2 NJAC) fell victim to a run of six straight goals by Kean University (4-9, 1-2) in the middle of the game and suffered a 15-12 setback in an NJAC home game. 
Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.) led the Ospreys with four goals and two assists.
 
Pascrell also scooped a game-high five ground balls and registered one caused turnover. 
Abbey Yannacone (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) chipped in with three goals and one assist while 
Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.) and 
Mary Carroll (Marlton/Cherokee) tallied three points apiece.
 
The teams went back-and-forth during a first 24 minutes that featured four ties. Yannacone and Carroll scored 1:20 apart to stake Stockton to a 2-0 lead before Kean answered with two straight counters. The teams then alternated the next six goals, with Yannacone, Shultz and 
Nicole Jandras (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) scoring for the Ospreys.
 
Kean seized the momentum with four goals in the last 6:20 of the first half plus two more in the opening three minutes of the second stanza. The run of six in a row put Stockton in a 10-5 hole. Pascrell almost single-handedly brought the Ospreys back as she netted three markers in 2:58. 
Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South) then hit the net to pull Stockton within 10-9.
 
Kean responded with three straight goals to increase the margin to 13-9 and the Ospreys were unable to make another charge. Pascrell, Yannacone and Carroll all scored in the last 11 minutes but they were offset by two goals from the Cougars for the 15-12 final.
 
Toal led all players with six draw controls and added one ground ball and one caused turnover to go along with her goal. 
Jessica Catalioto (Ringwood/Lakeland) notched a game-high three caused turnovers and added two ground balls and one draw control.
 
Danni LeSaint paced Kean with a game-high six goals followed by Dana Meehan with five. Cougars' goalkeeper Josie Pagano kept the Ospreys at bay with 15 saves in the contest.
 
Stockton starts a run of three straight road games with an NJAC match at Rutgers-Camden on April 18 at 4 pm.
