Glassboro, NJ – Stockton University (8-3, 1-1 NJAC) had its five-game winning streak halted with a 16-7 setback in a conference match at Rowan University (7-4, 2-0). Freshman Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.) led the Ospreys with a team-high four goals.

Pascrell also racked up game highs of five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.) contributed one goal and one assist.

Rowan jumped ahead 5-3 on the strength of four straight goals before Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South) halted the run with a marker that got the Ospreys within 5-4.

The Profs fired in three goals in the last 2:34 of the first half, the third of which came with just one second left and put Stockton in an 8-4 hole at the break. Rowan's run continued in the second half, with six more goals upping the margin to 10 at 14-4 with 17:35 remaining.

The Ospreys outscored the host team 3-2 in the last 12 minutes but couldn't make a run, resulting in the 16-7 setback. Pascrell netted two of the goals and Danielle Graham (Cherry Hill/CH West) potted one.
