Swarthmore, Pa. – Stockton University (4-0) remained unbeaten on the season with a 2-0 shutout of Swarthmore (1-3) that was the fourth straight win for the Ospreys. Stockton scored once in each half to earn the victory.

Emily Gilligan (West Deptford/West Deptford) made 10 saves for the second consecutive game. Gilligan moved into a tie for third in school history with her seventh shutout in an Osprey uniform.
The game was scoreless into the second quarter until sophomore
Lainie Allegretto (Ocean City/Ocean City) pushed in her first career goal to get Stockton on the board.
Gianna Morganti (Berlin/St. Joseph's) assisted on the tally to extend her point streak to four straight.
The Stockton defense protected the one-goal edge into the fourth quarter, and the Ospreys added an insurance goal with 4:14 remaining. Following a penalty corner,
Casey Cordonna (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) redirected a shot by
Shelby Scott (Salem/Salem) into the cage to boost the lead to 2-0. The assist by Scott was her first career point.
Gilligan was at her best in preserving the lead for the Ospreys. All 10 of her saves came after Allegretto's goal put Stockton in front, including eight stops in the second half. Aron Lankford finished with five stops for Swarthmore.
After three straight road games, Stockton will return to its home field to host Eastern University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
