Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (5-2) extended its winning streak to four with a 9-0 shutout of Cabrini (0-3). No Osprey player dropped more than two games in a singles or doubles match on the day.
The doubles teams of
Elena Nunez (Madrid, Spain/Rye (N.Y.)) and
Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) and
Sarah Richardson (Atco/Hammonton) and
Renee Wornowicz (Old Bridge/Old Bridge) each won 8-0.
Hailey Johnson (Middletown/Academy of Law & Public Safety) and
Brianna McCarthy (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) completed the doubles sweep with an 8-1 triumph.
Nunez and van Schalkwyk each won 6-0, 6-0 in singles, as did
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) and
Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem). Richardson cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory and
Katelyn Emick (West Deptford/West Deptford) contributed a 6-1, 6-1 win for the Ospreys.
After playing its first six matches of the season at home, Stockton will play twice on the road on Saturday. The Ospreys will travel to Rutgers-Newark for a 10 a.m. match and then head north to William Paterson for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
