Bethlehem, PA – Stockton University (2-1) dropped their first game of the season as the Ospreys were downed by Moravian College (1-1) by a 1-0 score on Wednesday night. A goal at 68:48 was the game-winning tally for the Greyhounds.

The Ospreys carried most of the play during the first half as they were outshot the home team 6-1. Stockton was not able to score a goal and the first frame ended in a scoreless tie.

The Ospreys had two good opportunities to score during the period, one by
Susan Porambo (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) at the 13-minute mark.
Bri Pagnani (Bordentown/Bordentown) had a shot kicked out and her rebound on the ensuing shot blocked, with less than nine minutes left in the half.

The eventual game winner came from Paige Weiss as she headed a tally in off a corner kick for the lone goal of the game. The Greyhounds' defense clamped down after the marker, allowing just one shot on net by
Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) in gaining the victory.

Porambo led all players with three shots on the night, with two on goal. LeDonne squeezed off two shots as did Pagnani.

Freshman
Olivia Harris (Sammamish, WA/Eastlake) took the first loss of her career, with a three-save effort for Stockton. Jamie Daly started in net for Moravian, playing the first half. Siobhan O'Sullivan played the second half at goal and garnered the win. Both keepers made two saves each.

Stockton will return home to start a five-match homestand on Saturday. The Ospreys will face Shenandoah University at 1 pm.
