Mahwah, N.J. – Stockton University (6-3, 0-1 NJAC) scored the first two goals of its NJAC opener at Ramapo College (9-2, 1-0) but surrendered the last three and fell to the Roadrunners 3-2. The game was the first for the Ospreys after an 11-day layoff.
Gianna Morganti (Berlin/St. Joseph) potted her 11th goal of the season with 1:28 left in the first quarter to give Stockton a 1-0 edge. Freshman
Jamilyn Hawkins (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) assisted on the tally.
With 4:48 gone in the third quarter, rookie
Autumn Hunter (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) scored her first career goal to double the Stockton lead to 2-0. Ramapo struck quickly to tie the game with goals by Angela Oskierko and Victoria Docherty only 3:12 apart to even the contest 2-2 just over four minutes after Hunter's had made it 2-0.
The deadlock carried into the fourth quarter until Ramapo's Mariah Tovar netted the eventual game-winner with 6:40 to play. The Ospreys generated two shots and two penalty corners down the stretch but could not score the equalizer, and they fell 3-2.

Kylie Mitchell (Shamong/Seneca) made three saves in 42:59 and
Alley Harris (Mullica Hill/Delsea) followed with two stops in the last 17:01 for the Ospreys.
Stockton will have another week off before hosting #7-ranked The College of New Jersey next Saturday, October 9 at 1 p.m.
