Wayne, N.J. – Stockton University (8-8-2, 4-3-1) dropped a tough, testy affair 1-0 to William Paterson University (6-9-2, 1-6-1 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Dante Montesinos (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) and
Sebi Morrello (North Caldwell/West Essex) fired four shots each on the day for Stockton.

The Pioneers outshot the Ospreys 12-9 in the first half, with one getting by
Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown). Jacob Von Giebel took a pass from David Moreira and scored at 4:34 of the half. Montesinos was the only Osprey to get a shot on net but was turned away.

In the second half,
Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) had a pair of shots on goal, with
Peter Kozlej (Toms River/Toms River East) firing one, but none could get through and the match ended in the 1-0 victory for the Pioneers.

Gromitsaris made four saves for the Ospreys, while his counterpart Thomas Hatch, also kicked out four attempts in posting the shutout.

Stockton will finish the regular season at home on Wednesday night against The College for New Jersey. The match is scheduled for 7pm and will have NJAC Tournament seeding implications on the line.
