Ewing, NJ – Stockton University (12-6-3) played hard but fell to #1 The College of New Jersey (16-0-1) by a 2-0 score on Tuesday night. The loss eliminated Stockton from the NJAC Tournament in the semifinal round. The Lions are ranked first nationally by the United Soccer Coaches and are the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
 
Stockton held the high-powered Lions' offense scoreless during the first half. TCNJ outshot the Ospreys 10-2 but could not find the net as Kylee Sullivan (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) made four saves during the frame.
 
TCNJ finally broke through at 74:29 when Gianna Minerva hit the top corner for a 1-0 lead. Just 2:24 later, Ava Curtis set the final score at 2-0 with a shot to the top right corner, giving the Lions the win.
 
Playing their final game for Stockton, Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) and Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) registered one shot each in the match. Sullivan totaled seven saves while facing 30 shots with nine on net on the night
 
Stockton ends the season with 12 wins during a campaign that was highlighted by an 11-match unbeaten streak earlier in the year.
