Stockton Remains Unbeaten with 3-0 Victory

 Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-0, 4-0 NJAC) kept their record unblemished with a convincing 3-0 win over visiting Kean University (1-2, 1-2 NJAC) on Thursday night. The Ospreys took the three-set sweep by scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-16, with Charlotte Leon (Northport, NY/Northport) leading all players with 12 kills.
 
Stockton took the first set with Haley Green (Springville, UT/Maple Mountain) setting the pace with five of her 10 kills on the evening. Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) and Leon chipped in with a trio of spikes each in the 25-18 win.
 
The Ospreys ramped up the offense in the second frame with an outstanding .517 hitting percentage, stifling the Cougars 25-11. Leon topped the squad with five kills while Green, Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, NY/West Islip) and Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) had three kills each.
 
The Cougars rallied in the final set, taking a 13-11 advantage before Stockton pulled away. A 14-5 run to end the match propelled Stockton to their fourth straight win at 25-16. Louer and Leon did the damage with five and four kills each in the final period.
 
In addition to Leon's match-high total, Green added 10 kills. Sullivan filled the stat sheet once again, with match highs of 34 assists and 13 digs to go with five kills and three aces. Grace Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) scooped 11 digs while Louer spiked nine kills and grabbed nine digs.
 
Kean was topped by Kayla Thornton with seven kills, with Kylie Brua assisting on 12 spikes. Amanda DeLio scooped 10 digs for the visitors.
 
The Ospreys will finish the regular season at home with Senior Night on Tuesday against New Jersey City. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
