Stockton Draws for Second Straight Match 2-2

Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (0-0-2, 0-0-2 NJAC) scored a pair of goals early but could not hold on, as the Ospreys played a to a 2-2 draw against Ramapo (0-1-1, 0-1-1 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon. Bri Honse (Gainesville, VA/Battlefield) and Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) potted the tallies for Stockton on the day.

Honse got the Ospreys rolling at 6:03 of the contest when she scored for a 1-0 advantage. The junior scored off a scrum in front of the Roadrunner net and potted her first of the season. That marker would hold up to give the Ospreys the slim one goal lead going into the break.

Stockton looked to put the game away when Williams scored for a two-goal margin at 72:17 of regulation. After a foul near the visitors' net, Williams curled in her tally off a free kick, to the upper right-hand corner for the score.

Ramapo rebounded as they scored two markers in a span of 1:21 to knot the game. Sam Ingannamorte broke free to the right of the Stockton net and floated a shot that found paydirt to slice the lead to 2-1 at 78:13. A minute and 21 seconds later, Kaitlyn Kelly nailed a penalty kick to deadlock the game at 2-2.

Stockton was able to put a shot on net during the first extra period, while Ramapo did the same in the second frame, but neither team could score, and the squads came away with the 2-2 draw.

Jennifer Devault (Mullica Hill/Kingsway) made two saves for Stockton in net while Emma Conlan kicked out four Osprey attempts for Ramapo.

Stockton will take on Kean University in their second straight home tilt on Wednesday for their next game. Match time is scheduled for 4 pm in Galloway.
