Rosemont, Pa. – Stockton University (4-1, 4-0 CSAC) continued its dominance in Colonial States Athletic Conference play with a 25-3 victory over Rosemont College (3-2, 2-2 CSAC). The Ospreys scored the first 19 goals of the game and did not allow a marker until the final seconds of the third quarter.
Dante Poli (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) led the Ospreys with game highs of four goals and three assists for seven points.
Eric Ellis (Voorhees/Eastern) tossed in three goals in the rout. Seventeen different Stockton players scored at least once.
Poli potted four goals in the first seven minutes to spark the Ospreys to a quick 7-0 advantage. The Ospreys led 11-0 after one period and 18-0 at the half. The Stockton bench players took over in the second half as the Ospreys cruised to the 25-3 victory.
Jackson Tilves (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) contributed two goals and an assist followed by
Peter Burke (Shamong/Seneca) and
Tyler Horvath (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) with two goals apiece. Horvath also won seven of his nine faceoffs.
Luc Swedlund (Randolph/Randolph) tallied a goal and two assists for three points.
Matt Thermann (Spring Lake Hts./Manasquan) won 10 of 12 draws and grabbed a team-high four ground balls.
Brendan Scanlon (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan),
Christian Moore (Basking Ridge/Ridge) and
Reegan Capozzoli (Wayne/Wayne Valley) each scored their first career goal.
Mason Dennis paced Rosemont with two goals and an assist. Ravens' goalie Mark Porter made 22 saves.
Stockton will have a week off before hosting Keystone College in a CSAC game at G. Larry James Stadium next Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m.
