Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (5-13, 5-9 NJAC) extended their win streak to three games with a doubleheader sweep over Rutgers-Camden (5-9. 5-7 NJAC) on Tuesday afternoon. The Ospreys took the games by scores of 4-0 and 4-3.
Angie Dunphy (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) led the Ospreys with four hits on the day.

Stockton scored all their runs in the opening game in the fourth inning. Freshman
Jenna Patterson (Mullica Hill/Clearview) reached on an error,
Liani Ortiz (Marlton/Cherokee) was hit by a pitch and rookie
Megan Dignam (Philadelphia, PA/Nazareth Academy) also reached on an error allowing Patterson to score.

Pinch hitter
Megan McManus (Northfield/Mainland) singled advancing the runners.
Madison Kelly (Franklinville/Delsea) then ripped a two-RBI single for a 3-0 lead. Another Scarlet Raptor miscue allowed the fourth run to score for a 4-0 margin.

That was all
Marissa Semeraro (Ridgefield/Ridgefield) would need as she finished off her second shutout of the season, with a seven-inning complete game. The senior struck out three and forced 15 ground ball outs.

The nightcap saw the visitors score in the first inning on a suicide squeeze bunt for a quick 1-0 lead. Stockton answered with a pair of markers in the bottom of the second frame for a 2-1 lead.

Dunphy singled and advanced to third on an Ortiz double. Dignam plated both runners for the early lead. The Ospreys looked to put the game away with another two spot in the fifth. Kelly and starting pitcher
Stevie Unger (Tower City, PA/Williams Valley) singled.

With two out, Dunphy drove in two runs with her third hit of the game to stretch the advantage to 4-1. But the Raptors weren't done. They plated a run in the top of the sixth and another in the seventh, but Unger was able to pitch her way out of the threat for her first career win.

The freshman tossed her third complete game of the year striking out three batters and inducing 11 ground ball outs.
Kelly added three hits and two RBI to the Ospreys offense in addition to Dunphy. Ortiz also rapped a pair of hits and scored twice, while Dignam knocked in a pair of runs on the day.

The Ospreys will be off until Saturday, when they will travel to Mahwah to face Ramapo College in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1pm.
