Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (3-4, 1-4 NJAC) ended the regular season in a big way, with a 20-1 rout of Rutgers-Camden (0-4, 0-4 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.) scored four goals and in doing so, broke the all-time goal scoring record of 76 by Gaby Ojeda (2016-19).
11 different players scored in the contest, with five Ospreys credited with assists in the match.
Stockton exploded for 14 goals in the first half, taking a shutout into the break at 14-0. Pascrell tallied all her markers during the first stanza, with the record breaker coming at 12:52 on an assist from
Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.).
Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South scored twice and dished an assist during the first half, with Pascrell also adding a pair of helpers to her total.
Stockton scored the first three goals of the second half before the shutout was broken with 18:30 left in the game. The ospreys tallied the final three markers, that included the first career goal for
Kristina Mitchell (Pennsauken/Pennsauken). Shultz finished with a team-high three assists.
Stevie Ader (Califon/Voorhees) played the first half and did not have to make a save. Daniela Elliot Wayne/Wayne Valley) made one save in the final 30 minutes of the victory.
Stockton will host a first round NJAC Playoff game on Monday against Rutgers-Camden. The time is yet to be announced.
