Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (2-0) scored early and often as the Ospreys posted a 10-0 shutout over Gwynedd Mercy (0-1) on Saturday afternoon. Freshman
Joseph Carbone (Pequannock/Pequannock) led five different Ospreys scoring their first career points with three goals and one assist on the day. It was the opening game of the Stockton Classic.

Stockton tallied just 40 seconds into the game when
Sebi Morrello (North Caldwell/West Essex) scored his first career goal for a 1-0 lead. His header off a
Dante Montesinos (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) corner kick put Stockton ahead to stay.

Before the half was over, goals by
Max Bond (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill West), Montesinos,
Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) and two scores by Carbone put the Ospreys up 6-0 at the break.
Ervin Gjeli (Hasbrouck Heights/Hasbrouck Heights) dished two assists during the onslaught.

Antonio Matos (Hammonton/St. Augustine Prep) scored his first of the year from Montesinos early in the second half for a 7-0 advantage. Stockton then finished off the rout in a seven-minute span starting at 75:18 when Carbone capped his hat trick with an assist from fellow frosh
Felix Doebbel (Holmdel/Holmdel). Doebbel added his second career point on a helper to
Ian Byrne (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) for a nine-goal margin.

Sophomore
Christian Bonilla ended the scoring in the 83rd minute with his first career goal, with an assist from
Ethan Leacott (Lumberton/Rancocas Valley). It was Leacott's first career point as well.

Stockton net minder
Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) started and played the first 27:25 in gaining the win. He was followed in order in net by
Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra),
Andre Perez-Santalla (Mountainside/Gov. Livingston) and
Branden Langley (Franklinville/Delsea). None of the Stockton keepers had to make a save in the match.

Joe Duffy started in net for the Griffins making five saves in the first half. Shaine Kirby played the second half and made one save in his collegiate debut.

Stockton will have a quick turnaround as the Ospreys will face NYU tomorrow at 3:30 pm. The Violets played to a 0-0 draw against Rutgers-Camden earlier today.
