Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (6-6, 0-3 NJAC) fell to William Paterson (2-5, 1-2 NJAC) by a 2-1 score in overtime on Tuesday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Pioneers broke through at 25:37 of the second period, when Megan Hoopes tipped in a goal after a scrum in front for a 1-0 advantage. That score would last until three seconds remained in the half, when LeHenaff took a penalty corner insert from
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.).

The sophomore blasted a low shot to the lower left-hand corner for her third goal of the season and a 1-1 deadlock at the break.

Stockton turned up the pressure in the final two frames of regulation, outshooting the visitors 9-1, but could not push across a tally and the game went to an overtime period.

1:03 into the extra frame, Hoopes found Adrian Dieckman and her tip-in gave the Pioneers the 2-1 victory.
