Wayne, N.J. – Stockton University (16-6, 6-1 NJAC) swept William Paterson (9-15, 1-6 NJAC) 3-0 for its ninth consecutive victory. The Ospreys began their winning streak three weeks ago.
Haley Green (Springville, Utah/Maple Mountain) led the way with 12 kills, tying for match-high honors. Green also produced a career-high nine digs.
Teleyah Witherspoon (Hackensack/Hackensack) hit double figures with 10 kills.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) snagged a team-leading 18 digs, one off her career best, and spiked eight kills.
Molly Eng (New Providence/New Providence) scooped 17 digs and served a match-high four aces.
Setters
Aubrey Rentzel (York, Pa./Central York) and
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) contributed 19 and 18 assists respectively.
Green tallied four kills and an ace as the Ospreys won the first set 25-19. The second frame was tied at 20-20 until two kills apiece by Witherspoon and Green keyed a 5-1 run that gave Stockton a 25-21 triumph. The Ospreys easily closed out the match 25-14 behind five more kills by Green in the third set.
Stockton will put its nine-match winning streak on the line on Friday when the Ospreys face eighth-ranked NYU in New York City at 4 p.m.
