Reading, Pa. – Stockton University (6-10) began the final week of the 2022 season with a road trip to Albright College (8-9), where a late goal by the home team resulted in a 3-2 setback for the Ospreys.
Freshman
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) gave Stockton an early lead with an unassisted goal, her fourth tally of the season, just 3:40 into the game. The Ospreys stayed in front for 22 minutes before the Lions tied the game in the second quarter.
Albright briefly pulled ahead in the third period, but Stockton quickly responded.
Alexandria Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) potted her team-leading fifth goal of the season with an assist by
Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern) only 2:47 after the Ospreys had fallen behind.
Palumbo's goal came with 53 seconds left in the third stanza, and the teams went to the fourth quarter tied 2-2. Stockton registered the first three shots of the final period, but the Ospreys were unable to capitalize. Albright's Lamya Mejias broke through for the game-winner with 2:42 on the clock for the 3-2 final.

The Ospreys will conclude the 2022 season with a home game against Alvernia University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
