Galloway, N.J. – After starting the season with three road games Stockton University (2-2) made a successful home debut by defeating Misericordia University (1-3) 9-4. The Ospreys scored the first three goals of the game and led the rest of the way.
Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.) led Stockton with three goals and an assist while
Holly Yannacone (Manahawkin/Southern) tallied two goals and two assists. Pascrell also grabbed a team-high five ground balls.
Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South) opened the scoring followed by Yannacone and Pascrell for a 3-0 lead in the first 7:31 of the game. Misericordia answered with two straight markers to pull within 3-2 before the end of the first quarter.
Stockton blanked the Cougars 3-0 in the second quarter to break the game open. Yannacone and Pascrell each netted their second goal of the game before
Allie Bremer (Oakland/Indian Hills) scored with 1:08 on the clock to give the Ospreys a 6-2 lead at the half.
Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.) hit the net for the only goal of the third quarter to make it 7-2 before Misericordia finally snapped the run of four straight Stockton goals with 1:24 gone in the fourth stanza.

Mary Meduri (Brigantine/OLMA) and Pascrell, her game-high third of the day, gave the Ospreys their largest lead at 9-3 on the way to the 9-4 triumph.

Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) made a career-high eight saves on 12 shots on goal for a strong .667 save percentage.
Kylie Evans (Marlton/Cherokee) contributed four ground balls and a caused turnover to the defensive effort.
Justine Johnson scored two goals for Misericordia and Cougars' netminder Maggie McGovern finished with 11 saves.
Stockton will continue its five-game homestand on Saturday when the Ospreys host New Paltz at 1 p.m.
