Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-5, 3-1) scored five of the first six goals of the game and pulled away for a 16-7 victory over Montclair State (6-6, 2-2 NJAC) on Friday afternoon.
Allie Bremer (Oakland/Indian Hills) scored a career-high five goals to lead the Ospreys.

It is the first time in Stockton's history they have beaten the Red Hawks in eight tries, since the program's inception in 2014.

Bremer scored twice in the first period as Stockton took a 5-1 lead after one period of play. Bremer,
Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.),
Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South) and
Mary Meduri (Brigantine/Our Lady of Mercy) tallied markers in the second period to offset a pair by the visitors and a 9-3 lead at the break.

Holly Yannacone (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) had a big third quarter for the Ospreys scoring twice and dishing an assist, along with scores by freshman
Emily Deworsop (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) and Bremer's fourth marker to expand the margin to 13-6 after three frames.

The Ospreys put the game away in the final period, tallying three times, while holding the Red Hawks to just one score in the 16-7 win. Bremer, Yannacone, and
Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.) put the exclamation point on the momentous victory for the Stockton program.

Yannacone added a career-high six points in the game with three goals and three assists with Schultz dishing three helpers and scoring once for four points on the day. In addition to a pair of goals, Toal caused three turnovers and scooped three ground balls. Pascrell led all players with six draw controls.

Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) made seven saves in net for Stockton.

Chelsea Stack, Tristan Konen and Haley Doran all had three points for Montclair State. Goalkeeper Allyn Lilien made four saves in net.

Stockton will take to the road to face Rowan University in Glassboro on Tuesday night. Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.
